ABOUT
Real-Eyez is an Augmented Reality data visualization and simulation tool that uses the affordances of homomorphic encryption on a blockchain to take previously inaccessible data connections and bring them to light.

Then, using Augmented Reality (AR) and machine learning, these new connection narratives can be algorithmically analized and simulations can be run on these new data to model potential solutions.

From there, using the newly discovered HIIPE Design Protocol, new solutions can be designed in a symbiotic relationship to the data acquisition that refines positive outcomes towards infinity.
How we Approach the Problem
Today, we face a myriad of interconnected social issues that require varied, adaptable solutions to be resolved. All struggles require a common starting block in order to begin rectifying in earnest. The starting point is empathy, a willingness to see the ‘other’ who is struggling and reflect on / acknowledge our shared humanity. Without this core building block, solutions of the past have merely served as temporary band-aids to make the bodies in power feel as though the issue is being addressed, to quash public unrest, or worse yet, yield an inverse effect once the solutions are applied on the ground.
We need new approaches that fundamentally rewrite the systems that insure inequitable distribution of power and resources. We need to be able to see the merits of helping others, as they benefit all. We need to recognize the rising tide effect of resolving deeply seeded and long-standing social injustices.
methodology
Our solution is a dynamic, interactive, data-driven XR storytelling model that incorporates unique user data to achieve an immersive experience that enables viewers to form deep, long-lasting connections with the subjects. We connect with our audience through logos, ethos, pathos and mythos:
Logos - Hard data science serves as the logic-driven backbone of our narrative. By opening up statistical analysis to a more nuanced narrative approach, what is often regarded as data points can be seen and experienced as the real human lives that exist behind that figure.
Ethos - By mining the user’s data with consent, the story is populated by characters (names and faces) that they recognize from their own life. Therefore, the journey is not one of “other”, but truly their own. This narrows the need for imagination in supplanting one’s lived experience in order to appreciate the hardships faced by the population in discussion.
Pathos - Cinematic quality devices, such as dramatic scoring, high definition imagery, poetic animation and interactive gameplay that opens neural pathways through somatic engagement are all leveraged to facilitate a maximilized emotional user experience.
Mythos - Utilizing proven story structures, namely the “Hero’s Journey”, we reach to the core of the human experience in a way that is directly connected to our evolution as a species. For millennia, stories have carried us forward, propelling societies to advance in the fields of art, science and communication. These long lasting pathways for information dissemination have stood the test of time because of their effectiveness and efficiency in achieving the desired result in the audience members - deep understanding and retention of the underpinning themes in moral tales.

The Real-Eyez data visualization system is connected to the HIIPE Design Protocol, a new approach to human centered design that unearths Data Black Holes.

The sequences created between using the Real-Eyez system and HIIPE enables researchers to create a feedback loop of visualization that takes small perspectives and combines them using the affordances of machine learning and augmented reality to give us a picture of a new reality we have not previously been able to see.
