The Quasar Lab

The Quasar Lab is a social impact design firm that creates innovative solutions using new XR and Web 3 technology and a custom design methodology. The lab is approaching social impact issues in a completely new way, leveraging blockchain technology combined with XR storytelling.  We work with companies, government, and the NGO sector as well as internally cultivate futurist design constructs that can have real world impact. Unlike other human-centered design or consulting firms that only start work once a project is funded, our HIIPE Design Methodology allows us to organically develop technology solutions and then leverage those for our clients or custom innovations.

The Quasar Lab focuses on designing unique and innovative products that are rooted in empathetic change. Our interactive storytelling is built with captured volumetric video (holograms) and 2D video content. We then use our technology and design methodology for education and workshops. We work with clients to develop marketing/roll out strategies and lead academic studies to publish White Papers on product design. We believe in doing the work differently, one that engages the whole individual as they interact with their varied communities, and challenging them to see the world differently. 

 

By creating interactive, immersive XR experiences (virtual reality and augmented reality, together XR) that uses data organized on a blockchain we can represent never before seen perspectives. Similar to the way GPS technology allows one to triangulate a position between different cellular towers, the Z axis in 3-Dimensional space allows us to plot blockchain data, then program and animate that data using 3-Dimensional game engine software and machine learning.
